Biddy Healey, Chris Stover and friends present an exciting concert of Brazilian-inspired
compositions and arrangements.

Biddy Healey is a vocalist/composer and multi-instrumentalist from Melbourne. Her album, Salt River Bed for nine-piece band (recorded in New York in 2019) draws on the places she has called home - the Sonoran Desert, Rio de Janeiro, coastal Victoria - narrating an intimate relationship with the climate crisis.
Chris Stover is a trombonist and composer from Seattle. He has recorded seven albums of original music and has performed at festivals and venues around the world. His latest project is a series of compositions based on the poetry of Brazilian poet Angélica Freitas for chamber jazz ensemble.
Biddy and Chris are joined by Erik Griswold (piano), Vanessa Tomlinson (percussion), Jodie Rottle & Hannah Reardon-Smith (flutes).
